GABUNGAN07-Jakarta: Indonesia is now clean up for the implementation of MotoGP. However there is the latest ambition Indonesia are also aiming for the Formula One (F1) to be held in the country.Youth and Sports Minister, Imam Nachrawi, explained that currently his company is approaching the F1 organizers. Imam also hope F1 could be held in 2019."I hope the upcoming 2019 Formula One also stopped in Indonesia. Currently we've done approach regarding this event," said Imam in Jakarta.
He also joked that the race to land the jet will be held at the Sentul Circuit, Bogor. So that the renovation will be done not only meet the standards of MotoGP but also for F1.
Surely this is not easy, because the level of the circuit is usually required by F1 tends to have its own category. Given the F1 organizers that Formula One Management (FOM) always puts the luxury aspect in the race. It has not entered the implementation costs to be paid to the local committee FOM.
So if Indonesia dream to hold a F1 race, it will be hard to realize if no one dared to bear the cost of funds for the renovation and operation of the circuit.
